What you will do
We have a vacancy for a Junior Stores Assistant - to be based at our Melsonby location. As the Junior Stores Assistant - you will take responsibility for all stock movements, stock levels, while also completing sales orders, dispatching consignments and controlling the Warehouse storage. 

  • To handle all incoming deliveries into the Melsonby depot (checking the integrity of the physical parts against supplier delivery documents).
  • Assist with the loading, unloading of palleted consignments, Pallet Stacker and counterbalance trucks and other lifting equipment.
  • To accurately pick and prepare parts required for Sales Order projects.
  • The post holder must respect the confidentiality of data stored electronically and by other means in line with the Data Protection Act.
  • Allocating picked stock to correct projects in SAP to ensure project costs are correctly allocated.

 

What we are looking for

  • Good communication skills, ability to communicate to colleagues and other teams - clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work on their own initiative with minimal day-to- day supervision.
  • Must be able to adapt to changing priorities, be multi- tasking and react effectively under pressure.
  • Fork Truck licence is desirable not required.
