What you will do
SWARCO Smart Charging has many Electric Vehicle charging units installed throughout Scotland. Part of our responsibility is ongoing service support and planned preventative maintenance of these products. We have a new vacancy for a Service Engineer in Scotland's Central Belt (Glasgow, East Kilbride and Cumbernauld).
- Customer Support: Provide technical assistance and support to customers, including EV charging station operators, maintenance personnel, and end-users, to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth operation of EV charging infrastructure.
- Service/Contract Tasks: Support the Service & Contracts teams with any tasks that may be required to ensure maximum efficiency across the wider business.
- Remote Assistance: Offer remote technical support via phone, email, or remote desktop tools, guiding customers through troubleshooting steps and providing instructions for resolution.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions in the ticketing system, and contribute to the knowledge base for future reference.
What we are looking for
- At least 2 years’ experience in technical support or field service roles. Experience welcomed from any industry - (not restricted to) the automotive, clean energy, or EV charging industry.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues effectively.
- Ability to support Local (Scotland) and National teams with installation, maintenance and bespoke client solutions, working as a part of a larger SWARCO team.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service and building long-term relationships with customers.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally for on-site support and willingness to work outside regular business hours as needed to support customer needs.
