Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor/Junior Quantity Surveyor - to join our team in Dublin! Within this role you will play a key role in managing project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring financial oversight while working closely with the sales manager, sales team, project managers, suppliers, and clients. You will help deliver cost-effective intelligent transport solutions and IT Systems along public lighting installations across a range of public and private sector projects.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for projects
  • Conduct measurements and valuations of work completed on-site
  • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of contracts and subcontracts
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of tender documents
  • Assist in managing variations, claims, and dispute resolution
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements
  • Provide support in procurement and supplier negotiations
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, health & safety, and industry regulations
  • Research and analyse tender opportunities relevant to the business
  • Prepare, write, and submit high-quality, persuasive tender documents, bids, and proposals
  • Ensure all tenders meet client requirements and align with company capabilities
  • Manage tender submission deadlines
  • Proofread and edit bid responses to ensure clarity, consistency, and professionalism
  • Track and report on tender success rates
  • Stay updated on industry trends, procurement regulations, and best practices in bid writing

Your Profile

Essential

  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in a QS role
  • Strong knowledge of contract management, cost control, and project financials
  • Proficiency in cost estimating software MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to interpret and respond to technical specifications
  • Driving Licence
  • Flexibility for travel and occasional overnight journeys
  • Right to work in Ireland

Desirable

  • Previous experience within traffic, intelligent transport, civil engineering, or construction.
