We have a vacancy for a Stores Person to join our team based in Glasgow.

What you will do

The role's main purpose is to effectively run the stores function, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of all materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective sourcing and ordering of materials and efficient stock control in line with business needs. The control of red/green label spares holding along with the distribution of spares/materials in support of the operational teams. You will also be responsible for the production of inventory reports supporting the control of the minimum/maximum holding expectations. The role also requires the provision of equipment calibration and repair chain facilities to maximise equipment availability. 

Although predominantly based in the Glasgow area, there may be a requirement from time to time to work in other Service Centre’s which may involve overnight stays.

What we are looking for

In order to fulfil the role successfully the following are some of the key skills and experience required:

  • GCSE’s (or equivalent) in English, Maths & Sciences
  • Previous stores/stock control experience using a stock control system/software.
  • Fork lift truck licence
  • Ability to provide installation assistance when required
  • Attention to detail.
  • Customer focused attitude.
  • Organised, trustworthy and self-motivated
  • Full driving licence
