Description

We are looking to recruit a Trainee Installation Engineer to join our Field Operations Team team based in Leicester. Installation staff will undertake works on a wide range of ITS (intelligent transportation system) roadside equipment.

The role will predominantly be in the field working on Traffic Signals, VMS, EV charging and other roadside technology. Our contract base is in the East Midlands area. Customer service is key to delivery as well as ensuring that QHSSE regulations and procedures are followed at all times. 

Although predominantly based in the Leicester area, there may be a requirement from time to time to work in other Service Centre districts which may involve overnight stays.

What we are looking for

In order to fulfil the role successfully the following are some of the key skills and experience required:

  • GCSE in English & Maths.
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Understanding of traffic signal site installation and basic theory (phases / stages / detection).
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • The ability to work on own as well as part of a team
  • The ability to work at heights
  • An organised and enthusiastic work ethic
  • Full driving license
  • Right to work in the UK
