Are you looking for a change of direction? Do you want to help others with your knowledge of highways electrical operations? We have a great opportunity for a HERS (Highway Electrical Registration Scheme) Officer. This will be a field-based role and requires nationwide travel to various sites.
What you will do
Reporting to the Learning & Development Manager, the role of the HERS Officer will be to support the NHSS 8 competency management by evidence gathering for HERS portfolios and CBQ-NVQ portfolios. This role will also audit the portfolios highlighting gaps in mandatory requirements and working with Operatives to close those gaps.
The key responsibilities will include undertaking the role of ECS Test Invigilator, HERS Qualified Supervisor, and Authorising Officer as an expert witness for CBQ-NVQ evidence gathering.
What we are looking for
In order to fulfill the role successfully the following are some of the key skills and experience required:
- Comprehensive experience of a variety of highways electrical operations
- HERS Qualified Supervisor qualification (desirable)
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Good communication skills
- Efficient time management skills
- The ability to work unsupervised
- Full driving Licence
- Right to work in the UK
