Due to new and exciting projects, our team in APT Skidata is growing further - join us as a Project Manager based in the North. You will be covering the North and Scotland.
As Project Manage you will oversee all aspects of a project using planning, monitoring and controlling processes. Responsible for the completion of the project and to this end will perform a variety of tasks including setting deadlines, assigning and tracking responsibilities, monitoring and summarising progress of the project. The Project Manager will handle more than one project at a time.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that once a sale is made that the project is managed effectively to ensure that the customers’ expectations from the sale are met
- Ensure the project is completed within the committed time scales (including project plans)
- Planning required resources internal & external
- Ensure that the project margins are maintained.(tracking hours and expenses – managing project budget)
- Ensure there is a quality installation provided, completion of on-site documented audits
- Attend client meetings on site where required
- Support of the sales team
- Minimise exposure and risk on a project
- Ensure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately – specific completion certificates
- Ensure all work is conducted with full regard to Health and Safety of our customers, staff and subcontractors
- Adherence to CDM
- Building strong and long term customer relationships
- Attendance of required rhythm meetings and conference calls
- Awareness of Skidata/supply partner products
- Administration of expenses, holidays and sickness is managed in an efficient and timely manner
- Follow up with clients where necessary on unpaid invoices
- Accurate forecasting of project income and completion
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely manner
What we are looking for
We are looking to employ someone who is self-motivated, confident with a strong sense of achievement, the individual will ideally have been exposed to a project management role with basic knowledge of electrical and cabling installations and the ability to manage on site personnel and customer expectations. Other qualities include:
- Effective Project Management
- Health and safety risk assessments/CDM
- Variation and addition Proposal and Quotation generation
- Operate within a CRM environment
- General business knowledge
- Specific knowledge of accepted accounting practices and procedures.(basic revenue models, P/l and cost to completion projections)
- Understanding of pricing models
- Excellent ability to communicate orally and in writing at all levels in the organisation
- Skills or experience with personal computers, including: email, personal scheduling, word processing and electronic spreadsheet skills, internet, intranet, and client server architecture
- Client liaison and customer focus
- Able to work under pressure and make important decisions and abide by them
- Knowledge of Parking Systems or Security Systems would be advantageous but not a requirement
- Good administration and co-ordination skills
- Strong personal influencing & communication skills
- Strong motivation to achieve, well organised and structured approach
- Ensure that all activities are conducted within our Health and safety and Environmental policies
- Health & Safety trained (i.e., SMSTS) an advantage but training will be provided
- To undertake any work of an appropriate nature as directed by the Installations manager
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
