Due to new and exciting projects, our team in Dublin is growing even further - join us as a Junior Project Manager where you will be responsible for costing, managing project planning, and execution. You will also act as the supervisor for the installation and commissioning of the project.
What you will do
- To be knowledgeable of the Company’s contractual requirements in relation to the project and the agreed terms and conditions
- To maintain comprehensive knowledge about the equipment to be installed, understanding the processes and procedures relevant to installation and commissioning activities
- Take responsibility for ensuring all resources are in place to complete the tasks on the agreed dates
- Liaise as required with all other third parties, in particular the contractor to ensure there is no conflict of interest at our proposed site
- Liaise with and assist where required, third party suppliers and subcontractors
- Ensure all installation and commissioning activities are undertaken within the timelines agreed in the project plan
- Ensure all faulty or defective equipment is reported to the Product Manager at the point of installation or commissioning
- Ensure all mechanical and electrical system installations are safe for use by others
- Produce or red line drawings
- Provide progress and technical reports on installation and commissioning activities as required by the Project Manager
- Provide support for opportunities as and when required, through requirements analysis, development of technical proposals and provision of cost and time estimates
What we are looking for
Essential
- Communications, Electrical or Electronics HNC/HND or Electrical trade, equivalent experience
- Experience of working within a highway’s environment an advantage
- Transmission Protocols would be an advantage
- Working with power network suppliers. ESB & GNI. For safety requirements
- Competency in using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Proven ability in problem solving and delivering results
- Capable of persuading and influencing at all levels
- Ability to work in an outside, high-speed environment
- Ability to work at height
- Full driving licence
- Flexibility for travel and overnight stays if required
- Right to work in Ireland
Desirable
- Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Electrical trade qualified
- PRINCE 2 or other recognised Project management qualification
- CITB SSSTS certification
- Knowledge of roadside technology equipment and systems would be an advantage
- Providing data on trend analysis
- Costing projects, managing project costs, working with closing out and invoicing projects with the accounts dept
