Description

We are looking to recruit Maintenance Engineers to join our Field Engineering Services team based in Featherstone, Yorkshire. Engineers will undertake reactive and pre planned preventative maintenance and installation tasks on a wide range of ITS (intelligent transportation system) roadside equipment.

The role will predominantly be in the field working on Traffic Signals, VMS, EV charging and other roadside technology. Our contract base is the North of England, and we are looking for engineers in the West Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire, Hull, and South Yorkshire areas.

Knowledge and experience of fault finding with ITS types of equipment would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given for the right applicants. The successful applicant should have a track record of fault finding, electrical knowledge or transferable skills.

Working hours are Mon to Friday 37.5 hrs with the availability to work overtime.  There is also a requirement to work standby usually a 1 in 4-week rota dependent on the contract worked. There may be a requirement from time to time to work in other Company locations which may involve overnight stays.

What we are looking for

In order to fulfill the role successfully the following are some of the key skills and experience required:

  • GCSE’s in English, Maths & Sciences (or equivalent)
  • Sector 8 Accreditation
  • A good understanding of traffic signal site installation and basic theory
  • Knowledge of traffic controllers and equipment
  • The ability to work alone as well as part of a team
  • The ability to work at heights
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Organised, trustworthy and self-motivated
  • Full driving licence.
  • Right to work in the UK
