Description

PoGo Charge is looking for a passionate and capable CAD Technician to produce 2D drawings for Charger Locations, Civil Works, Car Park Spaces, Vehicles, Kerbing, and Landscaping, for internal and external environments. Experience in producing basic layout designs using AutoCAD is required. This role is a fixed term contract covering maternity leave as of September and is home based.

As part of our in-house design team, you will work on a multitude of projects in the commercial, industrial, public and healthcare sectors.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Create and modify 2D and 3D models, drawings, and plans using AutoCAD software.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and designers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical drawings.
  • Ensure accuracy and adherence to design standards and specifications in all drawings and models.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including drawings, schedules, and reports.
  • Review and analyze design drawings and models to identify errors, inconsistencies, or potential improvements.
  • Incorporate design changes and modifications into existing drawings and models.
  • Maintain CAD databases and organize drawing files to ensure easy retrieval and version control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate design changes and resolve technical issues.
  • Stay updated with industry standards, CAD software advancements, and best practices.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members regarding CAD software and procedures.

What we are looking for

  • 5+ Years experience in AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit) and other design tools.
  • Strong knowledge of drafting principles, standards, and techniques.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise drawings.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve design issues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of construction or manufacturing processes is a plus.
  • Experience in a similar role or industry is advantageous.
