Description

We have an exciting vacancy for a Trainee Traffic Signals Installer to join our Birmingham team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kick start a career within the Traffic Signals industry. 

Your Challenge

The role of the Trainee Installer will be to learn to install, refurbish and/or repair a variety of equipment, including traffic signalling and other electrical street equipment such as street lighting, CCTV and barrier systems etc. to customer specifications. The successful candidate will have a good aptitude for learning.

Customer service is key to delivery as well as ensuring that QHSSE regulations and procedures are followed at all times.

Although predominantly based in the Birmingham area, there may be a requirement from time to time to work in other Service Centre districts which may involve overnight stays.

Your Profile

In order to fulfil the role successfully the following are some of the key skills and experience required:

  • GCSE in English & Maths.
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • The ability to work on own as well as part of a team
  • The ability to work at heights
  • An organised and enthusiastic work ethic
  • Full driving license
