Description

Due to new and exciting projects, our Swarco Smart Charging team is growing even further – join us as a Business Development Manager. This role is working remotely in the Scotland area. 

The role of the Business Development Manager is to work with the Head of New Business Development to develop a strategy to target and achieve a sustainable sales pipeline in your assigned segment by networking to promote the SWARCO Smart Charging proposition, participating in events and building a professional social media presence. 

Key responsibilities

  • Actively generate a healthy sales pipeline to deliver sales revenue to an agreed personal target
  • Develop compelling, winning bids and customer proposals, with support from Bid Management, Product, Technical and Delivery teams
  • Ensure capturing and reporting progress of opportunities onto Sales Force and forecasting system
  • Follow established sales processes for opportunity review, bid/proposal development and approval and project handover
  • Build and maintain industry knowledge and promote the SWARCO Smart Charging proposition, participating in events and building a professional social media presence
  • Advising customers on best fit solutions, preparing cost builds, compelling proposals and bids and managing the sales process through to conversion
  • To build and maintain a pipeline of new business growth across agreed segments of the EV sector
  • To complete any associated sales proposals and tenders, aligned with the Bid Management team as appropriate
  • To use SalesForce CRM system to accurately build, report and track forecast pipeline to target
  • To build collaborative teamworking relationships with Bid Management, Key Account Management and Operational/Delivery teams

What we are looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years sales, account management and/or EV sector experience
  • Written communication skills supported by Maths and English
  • Basic understanding of IT
  • Self motivated, target focussed sales approach
  • Consultative solution sales skills, strong customer objective handling and solution alignment (with co-operation of Product, Technical and Operational teams)
  • Strong relationship management, personal influencing & communication skills (both internal and external relationships at all organisational levels)
  • Well organised and structured sales approach, able to build detailed opportunity reviews and proposals
  • Able to work under pressure and make important decisions and abide by them
  • Ability to generate and deliver a presentation in line with your target audience and associated agenda
  • Ensure that all activities are conducted within our Health and safety and Environmental policies
  • Skills or experience with personal computers, including: Sales Force CRM, email, personal scheduling, word processing and electronic spreadsheet skills
  • Attention to detail with strong administration and co-ordination skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
