Your Challenge

SWARCO UK & Ireland are looking for an experienced Indirect Services Procurement Manager, with a particular focus on Fleet Management and Facilities, to manage the procurement of purchased indirect services and materials for the Swarco Group of companies in the UK & Ireland. The role will report to the Head of Procurement helping internal stakeholders gain best value from their spend portfolio.

You will join the current team in delivering strategic and tactical procurement projects in indirect services

Key Responsibilities

  • To develop and deliver business policy and procurement strategy for the Swarco Group of companies in the UK & Ireland, issuing RFQ’s conducting supplier negotiations, driving the selection process and raising/issuing contracts in accordance with agreed policies and category strategies, to meet objectives.
  • Assuming a leading role in consultation with Senior Stakeholders ensuring competitive advantage and whole life cost benefit is
  • To draft, develop and seek approval of policies and category strategies as appropriate to business needs.
  • Maintaining total tactical supply chain management of associated service providers, contractors, and suppliers in support of all Indirect spend requirements.
  • To integrate Procurement best practice into the purchase of Indirect services and materials and organise, control and monitor all associated procurement activity.
  • To identify key suppliers that are strategically important, ensuring performance data is available as and when required.
  • Ensures competitive tendering. Carrying out supplier assessments and commercial audits, managing new supplier and product approval.
  • Enabling management and maintenance of supplier performance records, Risk Analysis and Purchase Price Variances.
  • Acting as a point of escalation with each supplier to improve performance and / or implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Ensuring supply specification requirements are accurately established, documented, maintained and consistently achieved.
  • To support requirement for introduction of new products and services.
  • Develop and enable maintenance of service level agreements and key performance indicators with suppliers, ensuring continuity of supply in order to meet requirements and minimise exposure.
  • To provide input to strategic plans, supporting current and future business requirements.
  • To support the development of supply strategies, including make/buy, supplier landscape, marketplace/supplier changes, supplier relationships & preferential pricing.
  • To deputise for the Head of Procurement as and when required.

Your Profile

  • CIPS Level 6 or equivalent NVQ Level 6 or Bachelors (Honours) Degree or equivalent qualification (Desirable CIPS Chartered Status or Master’s Degree or equivalent qualification)
  • Demonstrable Procurement/Fleet Management experience within a similar senior role
  • Experience of developing new supplier relationships & agreements.
  • PC Skills including MS Office suite
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Results oriented
  • Desire to deliver tangible business improvement
  • Credible with senior internal & external stakeholders
  • Willing to challenge & provide viable alternatives & solutions
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Commercially aware
  • Full driving licence & a willingness to travel
  • Right to work in the UK
