Swarco UK & Ireland Ltd are a leading supplier of smart, active signage solutions and the latest parking equipment in use across the UK and Europe. We require an organised, self-motivated team player to join us as a Sales Estimator at our offices in Melsonby, in this role, you will help prepare costed technical responses to customer’s sales enquiries.
Your Challenge
- Costing of requirements to provide price offers to customer enquiries (including equipment, labour, site and plant)
- Preparing technical responses to customer enquiries
- Input to bidding documents in accordance with customer requirements to meet time scales and instructions in bidding documents
- Handover of sales information to other departments within SWARCO upon receipt of purchase order
- Ownership of enquiries for all standard products with ultimate responsibility for accuracy of quotation
- Qualifying enquiries from customers and following up proposals with them
- Pricing of signs and parking systems
- Pricing input to bid documentation
- Identification of design improvements
- Preparation of responses to customers
- Update sales database upon completion of quotation
- General company responsibilities relating to the position on the sales team
- Support to other company employees in providing pricing information and drawings to support their activities
Your Profile
- Previous Administration skills - preferably within a Sales team
- Cost estimation and quotation experience
- Good verbal and written skills
- Good organisational skills
- Must be self-motivated whilst working as part of a team
- Technical Engineering understanding - desirable
- Day to day use of Microsoft word, excel and outlook essential
- Good verbal and written skills essential
- Good organisational skills essential
- Right to work in the UK
