We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager, dealing specifically with Site Acquisition, to join our growing team at Swarco Smart Charging Ltd. This is a very exciting new role within the business and would suit someone who has previous new business development & direct sales experience. This role will work closely with the Head of Site Acquisition -  Investments, to develop, target and achieve a sustainable site development pipeline. This role will be a home based role with travel to site/customers so the location is flexible.

Your Challenge

  • To build and maintain a pipeline of new investment sites across agreed customer segments
  • To Identify and secure sites for SWARCO investment to an agreed annual target, targeting and conversion into contracted sites for the Investments team to develop.
  • Identifying and secure contracts on private sites across the allocated region for SWARCO to invest in ultra-rapid charging hubs
  • Advising customers on best fit solutions, preparing cost builds, compelling proposals and bids and managing the sales process through to conversion
  • To complete any associated sales proposals and tenders, aligned with the Bid Management team as appropriate.
  • To use SalesForce CRM system to accurately build, report and track forecast pipeline 
  • Develop compelling, winning bids and customer proposals, with support from Bid Management, Product, Technical and Delivery teams
  • Follow established sales processes for opportunity review, bid/proposal development and approval and project handover
  • Build and maintain industry knowledge and promote the SWARCO Smart Charging investment proposition, participating in events and building a professional social media presence

Your Profile

  • New Business experience within B2C
  • Consultative solution sales skills, strong customer objective handling and solution alignment 
  • Strong relationship management, personal influencing & communication skills (both internal and external relationships at all organisational levels)
  • Able to work under pressure and make important decisions and abide by them
  • Familiarisation with Salesforce and Power BI are preferred but not essential
  • Self-motivated, target focused sales approach
  • Ability to travel
  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • Driving licence
