Description

We have a vacancy for a Business Development Manager to join the APT Skidata team, this role will be home based with national travel required and aligned to the office in Hemel Hempstead.

APT Skidata, supply, install and maintain Car and People Access Control Systems in use across City Centre Car Parks, Airports, Shopping Centres and Leisure Facilities. These systems utilise the latest technologies such as SaaS and Cloud based software and can include Pay-On-Foot machines, Barriers, EV Charging, Turnstiles, LPR Cameras and IT Networks.  

We are looking for a motivated, high performing Sales Professional with demonstrable experience of the business development of technical products and applications using a consultative solution driven approach. You will be working across the country to manage and develop new business opportunities to maximise growth. Although a solid technical sales record will be considered, experience within the industry or similar will be highly beneficial. Full product training will be provided and could include trips to our partners in Europe.

Principle Responsibilities

  • To establish a sustainable consultative approach to new business development
  • Maximise opportunities and increase revenue streams by building strong relationships
  • Solution and system specification to customers and consultants
  • Negotiating deals and contracts
  • Tender responses
  • Proposal and quotation generation
  • Developing and managing the sales pipeline to ensure results are met in accordance with sales targets
  • Reporting of sales pipeline development and forecasting effectively and accurately
  • Developing & sharing knowledge of the market sector
  •  

What we are looking for

In order to fulfil the role successfully the following are some of the key skills and experience required:

  • Ideally experienced in a similar role selling complex technical systems and applications
  • Knowledgeable in similar technologies
  • Driven and motivated
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • Success in developing new business
  • Knowledge and experience of working with high end clients and major contractors
  • Good level of education
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Full UK driving licence
