Description

The Senior Marketing & Communications Manager will lead the delivery of effective and innovative marketing strategies in line with business objectives, providing a marketing function that supports the business in achieving its goals; increasing sales and awareness of the brand and ensuring communications (internal and external) are regular, accurate and aligned with our values.

Key Tasks

  • Equally supporting all UKI SWARCO businesses, understanding the different needs of each
  • Defining and implementing a marketing and communications strategy to effectively communicate the vision, mission and goals of each legal entity and as a whole
  • Managing each of the UKI SWARCO business websites, ensuring that up to date content is visible at all times, including good news stories (win notifications, press releases etc)
  • Driving marketing innovation, be it in digital or other marketing forms, to hep differentiate us from our competition
  • Act as a ‘brand guardian’ ensuring consistency across all internal and external communications
  • Managing the budget and planning
  • Working with the SWARCO group to ensure alignment, whilst also challenging the norm
  • Organise and attend marketing events
  • People management of the UKI Marcomms team
  • Analyse all marketing activity and performance, drive efficiencies and optimise campaigns – a data led approach
  • Draft press release content.  Research and generate stories and obtain client permissions. Review with PR Agency. Attend meetings with PR agency to monitor activities against contract and plan future activities.
  • Manage advertising strategy in line with company objectives and budgets, organise copy (liaise with Group) and send copy to publications throughout the year
  • Monitor competitor activity and report this to the senior management team
  • Lead and manage SWARCO’s external brand communication across a combination of online, PR and events activity
  • Press releases to the media and oversee social media accounts
  • Supporting business development with campaign initiatives, encouraging new content from our projects and successes

Skills & Experience Required

  • Demonstrable experience in marketing leadership
  • Continuous professional development
  • Digital marketing – particularly in relation to social media activity (LinkedIn, Twitter etc.)
  • Marketing in B2B and B2C environments
  • Traffic industry experience desirable
  • Degree qualified or (more importantly) equivalent experience
  • Professional marketing qualification-CIM would be a benefit
  • Superb communicator with strong presentation skills
  • Evidenced management and leadership skills
