Description

We have a very exciting opportunity for a Manager to join Dynniq’s Technology team as a Software Manager. The location for this role is Basingstoke (HO).

What you will do

The Software Manager will lead the technology team including the architecture, software design, development, support and continuous improvement of the software that make up Dynniq’s Urban technology solutions.

This role has the people management, control of processes, and the empowerment to provide industry leading client solutions and services, with the goal of creating differentiated offerings for our current and future customers, and is a significant contributor to Technology’s plan to grow annual revenues, with higher gross margins.

The Software Manager works closely with other members of the Technology senior management team to ensure close collaboration on innovation, market development, product lifecycle delivery and major project delivery and is central to growing and sustaining a culture of commercial innovation across Technology and other departments. The role acts as primary interface and manager of partners and suppliers in the technology supply chain.

  • Cost management of software design and development
  • Management and control of R&D costs
  • System functionality and reliability
  • Development on time, in budget and achieving the customer experience
  • Malfunctions and bugs, time to fix repairs
  • Product lifetime performance

What we are looking for

In order to fulfil the role successfully the following are some of the key skills and experience required:

  • A technical, engineering or scientific degree or equivalent experience
  • Able to demonstrate strong commercial drive and evidence of delivering profitable growth in a developing business or business area
  • Demonstrable experience in people management
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering high value projects on time and within budget
  • Experience in developing, articulating, promoting and delivering innovative product technology solutions that have solved clients’ problems and generated significant profit. 
  • Willingness to travel and reside overnight, dependent upon business needs.
  • Full driving licence
